Our productions explore traditional texts, stories from regional Indian theatre, themes based on Classical music, short productions and others in the works like Occidental Tales and Strictly theatre. All of them are presented with English dialogues to reach out to a wider audience.

Baithak, the Salon Series

In English

The Salon (French) was a gathering where literature was discussed and art was exhibited. Baithak is its Indian equivalent. Baithak is our attempt to present regional Indian theatre using the medium of dance theatre and dialogues in English. We not only experiment with stories from different corners of India but also experiment with the presentation style and choreography.

India has a huge treasure of traditional texts and epics. Some of the stories from these traditional texts are also fundamental to the cultural consciousness of countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Nepal and Sri Lanka and different versions of the stories are found in these countries.  Here are our productions based on some of them.
