A noose that plays the hero of the story, an issue that doesn’t seem to have a solution, stakeholders playing the blame game, a surprising twist in the end and a story from 1881 that stands true in 2019 – that is our latest dance theatre production ‘The Kingdom of Chaos’ for you.
Written in 1881 the most acclaimed play from India was a sarcasm on the struggle of a common man to get justice, badly made policies and laws, the working of the system and the attitude of the employees to their jobs.
We adapt this play to present the current situation in 2019 – and it rings true for a country as well as the corporate – be it our approach to policy making, gender equality, equal opportunity, how employees achieve targets, poor decision making, our approach to crisis management, stereotyping, the role of social media in branding etc.
What did surprise us was how little we had to adapt the original story to the present day!
